Our story

Cultivating Luxury for the British Estate

Welcome to The Tree Peony Queen, where botanical history meets the modern British garden. Founded with a singular passion for elite, collector-level horticulture, we specialize in sourcing and importing the world's most magnificent tree peonies: the legendary Paeonia rockii.

Our journey began with a simple realisation: while standard nurseries offer common varieties, the true crown jewels of the peony world remain remarkably difficult to secure in the UK. We set out to change that by establishing exclusive, direct relationships with multi-generational master growers in the historic fields of Heze.

Today, we bridge the gap between ancient imperial traditions and your private garden oasis.

The Imperial Standard: Why We Are Different

We do not deal in mass-produced, tiny garden-centre pots that take five years to establish. We operate on a philosophy of absolute quality, exclusivity, and maturity:

  • Direct Imperial Sourcing: We work hand-in-hand with overseas specialists to select authentic, named cultivars of unmatched heritage.

  • Guaranteed Mature Crowns: Every single bare-root plant we ship is a premium, mature 3+ stem crown. This ensures a robust, fully established root architecture that hits the ground running.

  • Strictly Limited Allocations: To maintain flawless quality control and plant health standards, we restrict our seasonal imports to incredibly small, hand-selected batches.

When you invest in a specimen from The Tree Peony Queen, you aren't just planting a flower—you are anchoring your landscape with a resilient, intensely fragrant piece of living history designed to bloom beautifully for generations.

Plant Health & Traceability

Our mature Paeonia rockii tree peonies are sourced from Heze, China, and supplied with their own large, healthy root systems. Each plant is dispatched with a UK Plant Passport, supporting plant-health assurance and traceability. Our APHA registration number is GB-048312332000.
